mmm wow i havent really blogged so much lately. perhaps kind of strange for me as i was a bit of an avid blogger for a while there.

i think uni is a little overwhleming at the moment, there is a lot to do, like this court report i should be writing for tomorrow. of course, as every well rounded student should, i am procrastinating. after all, it shouldnt take me long to write, but considering all the reading i should be doing also, maybe not such a good idea. i hope my cultures and creativity group dont start hating me for not doing my readings... though they do seem like the types of people that have everything done a week before they are meant to be... so no doubt they will.

going to courts was funny on tuesday, i hadnt really been before, so it was a pretty interesting experience. i can not say that i am remotely contemplating ever going into court reporting. i do not even want to imagine how it would affect me if i were to frequent the courts and saw person after person with cases of assault, theft, murder... so on and so on. it really kind of dampened my spirit, even though i was only there for 3 hours... imagine being around that environment everyday?! despite that, all the shambles that went on in the court were kind of humorous, it was surprisingly not as organised as i thought it shouldve been. also, when entering the building you of course go through security which means putting your bag through the scanner. i had my harmonica in there cause i wanted to buy a how to learn book, when it went through on the screen, they thought it was a knife hahaha and they turned all serious. the guy asked the other guard to come over and all this intense confering started happening... oh it was amusing.

friday night was a most wonderful evening. karen and i went to the reggae funk blasta gig at the rev. i had always wanted to see freakylou, so when i saw this advertised i had to go, i had been set on seeing them for nearly two years. ohhh it was so beautiful to be there, everyone so happy and sharing a mutual love for a totally gorgeous evening of cool funky music and liberating dance. i hadnt been around such an atmosphere since seeing 'skin' at the begining of the year and so it was revitilising. it felt right to be there and soo goooood to see people smiling, happy and unjudging at a gig... cause the ones i have been to lately havent been like that. doch were a big highlight, i hadnt seen them before, so i look forward to catching them again. hawaa was going to come, unfortunately she didnt cause she wouldve loved it, hopefully she comes to the depot next week.

regretfully, i also missed robs birthday last night. ill have to hear all about it and pretend i was there hahaha.

made some rough plans at the travel agent today!! woohoo nothing like having something to look forward to, made me soo excited. look at this beautiful place ive decided to stay in for a couple of days at ubud: http://www.pertiwiresort.com/. the name is even gorgeous, pertiwi means mother earth, how lovely! its actually seems a little too tourist friendly for my liking... but im definitly not adverse to some time of indulgance.

ahhhhhhhh! changed to part time at work!! means 26 hours a week. i am skeptical about it, but agreed to see how i deal with that and uni, hopefully it works out cause i need the hours.
